Howard dumped on the weekend. No post yet this week. Coincidence? Will Art@Work still find inspiration in the post-Howard Australia?
Well there's still Bushy-boy, and that miscreant 'chosen one' Chaney. It might take a few months to get the measure of our very own 'Mr Special K' ... but I'm sure there is pay-dirt in there somewhere. And anyhow this is a relativist rebellion -- a time will come when the 'establishment' will embrace art@work and then it will be no more (a separate and challenging thing). Rather it will join the great river of higher 'things' that once were.
However, the young ones should not frett or worry: the 'work' may come and go (according to time and need), but art will go on forever -- it's what is higher-human about us. They were carving it on rocks 20-30,000 years ago in W/Australia (Burrup) -- they an more will be there in 20,000 years more I'm sure. 'Tis time that we must manage -- and the self that consumes it.
